“Be the change that you want to see in the world.”

Who am I?

I’m someone who helps others find their path to holistic health and well-being. I strive to do this by leading by example and by building interconnected projects that, together, create a broader impact on society. I believe that every person has a responsibility to fulfill their potential—not only for themselves, but for the greater good of our community and our planet. When we focus on doing what we’re good at and what brings us joy, we naturally create positive change through our very existence. This is why I live by the principle “be the change”.

This mindset is deeply tied to my ongoing desire to optimize my own life through responsibility—something that influences every area of my work. That’s why our business is rooted in social values, our leadership is horizontal, and our communication is transparent. That’s why we are proud to be a part of a good company. That’s also why I strive to build a teal organization and share these values with our clients.

Sure, my ambitions sometimes lead me into difficult situations that don’t have easy answers. I tend to take on more than is realistic and often run up against my limits. But I can’t imagine living any other way or lowering my aspirations. Because those who can help should feel called to do so—fully and wholeheartedly. As the saying goes: With great power comes great responsibility.

SPARRING PARTNERS Company – Truly individual care

During my university studies, I worked as a personal trainer and quickly realized that offering training without proper context and professionalism didn’t make sense. My clients were—and still are—my friends and people I care about. I chose not to separate training from the rest of their lives. Like many trainers, I began supporting them in other areas of their lives, some more closely tied to training, some less so.

I soon realized, however, that I couldn’t fully take on the roles of a physiotherapist, nutritionist, or other specialists. So I reached out to them for collaboration. I even wrote a seminar paper about this topic as part of my Sports Management class at Charles University – Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (UK FTVS). That’s how the idea for Sparring Partners was born, at that time still without legal form.

A turning point came when I had to choose between specializing further as a personal trainer or developing a broader concept of comprehensive client care. I chose the latter. And because I could no longer honestly stand behind myself as a full-time personal trainer, I gave up that career path, officially founded my first company, and fully committed to developing it. That’s how SPARRING PARTNERS s.r.o. was born.

The third major turning point came when I was offered two opportunities at once: to become the national strength and conditioning coach and methodologist for the Czech Basketball Federation, and to lead a complete health and wellness service for the Czech branch of multinational company SAP, with nearly 2,000 employees. I chose to go broader once again. I won the tender and Sparring Point was born, with its first location SPARRING POINT SAP PRAGUE. Since then, corporate care has become our main focus.

Sparring Point Service – Giving employees back their human value

At first glance, Sparring Point may appear to be just another corporate fitness initiative, but it’s quite the opposite. What you see is just the framework, though an exceptional one. The real value of Sparring Point lies in our focus on relationships and values: building connection, awareness, respect, care, responsibility, and dignity. These are essential for a fulfilling life and no workplace can thrive long-term without them.

Am I trying to change how the corporate world functions as a whole? Yes.

On the most visible level, our service provides care in the areas of health and fitness. On the second level, we actively educate and help create a healthier company culture. On the third level, we establish a new standard for HR care and collaboration. And on the fourth and most important level, we empower people to take these values home and spread them within their families and communities. That is how I have chosen to make a positive impact on the world.

We are a team and a family

None of this would be possible without the incredible people around me. Teamwork is my highest value, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who contributes to our shared projects. Over the years, our group and the relationships within it have evolved, and today, we truly feel like a family.

Am I normal?

According to conventional standards, definitely not. And it’s important for anyone who wants to work with me or our team to know that up front. This applies not only to business and my vision for a more human corporate world, but also to my work as a lecturer, university educator, and in my personal life.

In pursuit of the responsibilities mentioned above, I left the city for a quieter life more in tune with nature. Minimalism and responsibility help me make better decisions. Because I’ve never aligned with the inefficiency and destructiveness of the traditional education system, we homeschool our children through private programs. Because I believe in family and respect for our elders, I’ve created a home where my parents can also live with us. My wife and I have been together since 2002, and we constantly work on and grow our relationship.

But don’t worry, I’m far from perfect. There’s always room for growth. What matters is that I strive to be a role model for those around me—my team, my family, and my community.
